Popcorn+Stranger Things=Best series on Netflix
One more episode Lauren, it’s been 4 hours! I find myself saying this to myself way too often. Stranger Things, a stupidly addicting original netflix series will keep you on the edge of your seat within every episode. It revolves around a group of kids seeking mysterious secrets the town of ‘Hawkins’ seems to be hiding. These kids are adorably nerdy, kind and absolutely hilarious. This show is a make up of mystery, horror, romance and comedy gold. It's almost impossible to not fall in love with the cast and storyline, as there is something for everyone. In this blog you will find the top 3 reasons on why this show is the best Netflix original to ever be made.
2. The casting
The casting in Stranger Things is simply outstanding. Even Winona Ryder, and actor I’ve never been too fond of plays her role incredibly in this series. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays ‘Eleven’ has received awards for her role on the show much as the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Actor in a Show. Finn Wolfhard, a canadian actor is known for his comedic lines as his character of ‘Mike Wheeler.’ Finn also went on to play a significant role in the Stephen King film, “IT”. Finn plays his characters perfectly and continues to steal many hearts across the world. No wonder these 2 were awarded with the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
3. The humour and horror
I love these polar opposites together, as it's the combination of funny and scary that really pulls the show together. The truth is, they both coexist so well in the show.
The events surrounding its mystery are awful, terrifying, and sometimes really sad. But you'll still find yourself grinning and laughing and cheering on the many heroes. At times it's actually quite frightening, but the pace can change in the matter of seconds due to a few comedic lines. It's never dreary or violent or gritty because of this.
With the mixture of all of these within one amazing series, it's hard not to get hooked. For me, If something as simple as a TV show can bring me so much happiness and laughter, and if i'm able to feel an overwhelming amount of emotions during one time, I think that's the most incredible way to create something beautiful such as Stranger things.

Anx-i-e-ty
(noun)
A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.
Although this definition may be correct, anxiety is much more than just a feeling. It becomes a way of life. It becomes the reason you don’t leave your house on the weekend and it becomes the way people look at you. It's a feeling of hopelessness and it's the fear you learn to live with everyday of your life. My goal is to try to describe something indescribable. Through personal experience, today I will be sharing a few things people with anxiety want you to know.
1) Sometimes nothing is wrong.
This is the most frustrating kind of anxiety. Everyone gets anxiety sometime in their life. Whether its before an exam or a big soccer game, everyone gets anxious. But when you live your life with constant anxiety sometimes nothing is wrong, but everything is at the same time. Please don’t get mad at us for this. The next time we want to leave the party early or won't “loosen up,” don't take it personally. To us the whole world may be crashing down.
2) Everyone goes through episodes differently.
For some people, anxiety attacks mean sweating, shaking, heavy breathing and tears. For some it's distancing yourself and mood swings. For some it's being frozen in time. Everyone deals with episodes differently, so please don’t assume I'm fine just because I'm not hyperventilating. This is real and it's brutally exhausting.
3) It's okay to have no idea what to do about me.
For my friends and family watching me go through this, believe me when I say, I am just as frustrated about my anxiety as you are. Some days will be better than others. Some days it will seem as if i've never lived a day filled with anxiety in my life. Other days it will seem as if I've never had enough in me to walk outside my bedroom doors. I need you to understand, that this is allowed and normal. Sometimes just sitting there with me is enough. Other days I might want to talk to you about the living hell I call my brain. Don’t try to fix me by telling me to breathe. If it was that easy, I would be just as stable as you are by now. Im truly sorry if me spilling about my anxiety makes you uncomfortable. But you trying to prove to me that how I'm feeling is “illogical” doesn't magically cure me, but only makes me feel worse. I already feel crazy, now people know I am. Finally, to my friends, I don't need special baby treatment. I know i'm not the best at handling my demons, but I can handle them nonetheless. Please don’t worry about saying something that triggers me and if you do, please don't feel guilty. No need to worry about my well being 24/7. Just knowing you even remotely care means more to me than you’ll ever know.
Anxiety and any mental health for that reason shouldn’t be ignored. It eats away your mental state and can cause you immense amounts pain. It should be taken as seriously as a physical injury, if not more. Your brain is everything. It controls your quality of life. My anxiety is a part of me. I don’t want to feel like I need to hide this flaw in my wiring. If you truly want to see us happy, learn to accept and adapt to us for who we are. This is what we want you to know about our anxiety.
